PLASTEX 2018 Returning Back in its 16th Version in Cairo
With a New Co-Organizer, New Venue and New Branding
PLASTEX 2018, the leading plastics event in Africa and one of the prominent events in the MENA region is taking strategic strides recently. As the sixteenth version of PLASTEX will take place from 18-21 January, 2018 the organizing committee of the show announced recently that some developments are taken place concerning the event.
“One of the reasons behind PLASTEX success since its debut in 1993 has been the ability of being a dynamic event. This is why we are pleased to share the latest developments concerning the show. As the plastics industry is changing and developing rapidly and we all should keep abreast with such changes, PLASTEX is taking into consideration these challenges and we let no stone unturned to bring the latest technologies and trends to you”, stated Ahmed Mostafa ACG-ITF PLASTEX Project Manager addressing the industry specialists.
“New Venue, new logo, new branding and above all a new co-organizer are some of the new features about PLASTEX 2018. The show now is moving to a new venue; the “Egypt International Exhibition Centre” – Mosheer Corridor – New Cairo, the most modern exhibition venue in Egypt and the Middle East with new facilities such as easier loading, more parking space, luxurious services and visitor experience with less than 20-minutes drive from Cairo Airport and several state-of-the-art, near-by Cairo 5-star hotels,” added Mostafa.
“DMG Global Energy - one of the world leading organizers of  most important international events including ADIPEC, The Big 5, INDEX and others - will co-organize PLASTEX 2018 with ACG-ITF, founders of the show. DMG Global Energy will help adding new attractions for the show specially, international participation and bringing in more regional trade visitors, said Salman Abu Hamza, DMG Project Manager.
Taking the recent changes into consideration, the organizing committee of PLASTEX 2018 decided to rebrand the show with a new logo, new website in addition to several new promotional channels to reflect the recent changes in the industry in general and in the show activities in particular. According to the organizers, more features about the show will be added soon and will be announced to concerned parties within the next few weeks.
“We just wanted to share with both our valued exhibitors and visitors the recent changes and developments. All these changes are taking place to make your participation experience in the show as both exhibitors and visitors of much ROI for them on the short and long terms as our loyal and valued partners. This year we expect to welcome over 350 exhibitors from 22 countries. Many of them are seeking agents and distributers and presenting new products, innovations and solutions to market for our visitors to ‎discover,” Mostafa concluded.
PLASTEX 2018 will be an activity hub where suppliers and manufacturers convene to exhibit their products and services to leading decision makers from Egypt and regional countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Morocco, Tanzania, Libya, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Cyprus, Turkey and many more. As the leading event in plastics industries in North and East Africa, PLASTEX is launching a special program for trade visitors by hosting 1000 buyers from North and East African countries.
